PRESS RELEASE

Revo-Round and Dutch entrepreneur invest to stop evolutionary development:

“Population of China more square-eyed within three generations”

China’s population is on the verge of losing its characteristic Oriental appearance. A revealing study by the Medical Faculty at the University of Shanghai states that a massive increase in computer use will cause the race to evolve towards a more distinctive Western look over the next two to three generations Chinese company Revo-Round Ltd. is developing a new technology together with a consortium of investors led by Dutch entrepreneur Roeland Reinders. Their revolutionary round-top computers will try to prevent one of the world’s oldest civilizations from becoming square-eyed.

With a substantial investment of approximately € 50,000,000, the group of investors from Silicon Valley has taken a 25% share in Chinese company Revo-Round Ltd. Thanks to this investment, the company can further develop the new product and plan to successfully introduce the new hardware in Q4 2010.

Evolutionary development

The round-top computer has been developed in response to a recent study by the Medical Faculty at the University of Shanghai. The Faculty revealed notable differences in the position of the eyes in relation to the entire face with Chinese babies born in the past two decades. According to the study the positions of eyelids and eye sockets are changing so rapidly that they can be regarded as evolutionary developments. The report by professor Zhou Hongan revealed that the population of Asia will develop a more distinctive Western appearance over the next two to three generations

Hongan attributes these developments to the massive increase in computer use in China over the last couple of decades. The population of China has largely disregarded newspapers and magazines during this timeframe and has become more accustomed to reading from their computer screens. 87.4% of the population has access to a computer screen – most of them in highly populated urban areas.

Revo-Round

Revo-Round Ltd. is the company behind the revolutionary round-top computer. The computer was originally a graduation project by four students at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai but, thanks to foreign investors, the students were able to incorporate their knowledge into a new company and further develop and commercialise their idea. The four creators of the original concept are still active in day-to-day management activities. Revo-Round Ltd.'s products aim to change the course of evolution in order to preserve a characteristic Oriental appearance for future generations. The first prototype of the round-top computer was recently unveiled to a small test group. The results of this first series of prototypes were very satisfactory.
